Prior to joining Greylock, he spent the majority of his career as an entrepreneur. He was CEO and co-founded several companies, including Vontu, which was acquired by Symantec in November 2007 for $350 million. Joseph is currently on the Boards of Lookout and Sumo Logic.

Frank is a Managing Partner at Ignition focused on enterprise software investments including cloud and Big Data. Prior to Ignition, Frank held executive leadership roles from CEO to VP of strategy and business development in enterprise software companies. Frank led Ignition’s investments in Appfog, Couchbase, Cloudera MessageBus, ScaleXtreme and Servicemesh. He is currently a board member of Tellwise, TipBit, Unidesk, BlueStack Systems, Bromium, Apprenda, Coho Data, SkyTap and SnapLogic. Frank has been named to Gigaom’s list of top cloud VCs and Forbes Midas “Hot Prospects” list.

Ping has been with Accel Partners since 2004. He focuses on early stage and growth software and digital media investments. He is also responsible for Accel’s Big Data Fund. Within software, Ping is currently a board member of Cloudera, Code 42, Lookout, Nimble Storage, RelateIQ, Tenable Network Security and Trifacta. Ping has been named to the Forbes Midas List of Top Tech Investors and Business Insider’s 50 Most Powerful People In Enterprise Tech. Joe is Trifacta’s Chief Strategy Officer, Co-founder and Jim Gray Chair of Computer Science at UC Berkeley. His career in research and industry has focused on data-centric systems and the way they drive computing. In 2010, Fortune Magazine included him in their list of 50 smartest people in technology, and MIT Technology Review magazine included his Bloom language for cloud computing on their TR10 list of the 10 technologies “most likely to change our world”.

Sean is Trifacta’s Chief Technical Officer and Co-founder. He completed his Ph.D. at Stanford University, where his research focused on user interfaces for database systems. At Stanford, Sean led development of new tools for data transformation and discovery, such as Data Wrangler. He previously worked as a data analyst at Citadel Investment Group.
Adam has spent eighteen years in leadership roles focused on data integration and analytics. As GM of Informatica’s Information Lifecycle Management division, Adam grew revenues more than 400% in five years. Prior to that, as SVP of Product Management & Marketing for Informatica’s flagship data integration products, Adam was instrumental in helping the company expand beyond ETL and grow product revenues to more than $200M. Adam also co-founded and was COO of Zimba, a pioneer in mobile business intelligence.

Maneesh Agrawala is a Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Stanford University. He was previously a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. Maneesh works on computer graphics, human computer interaction and visualization. He is the recipient of many awards for his research, including a 2009 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship (aka “the Genius grant”).

Michael Bernstein is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stanford. He pursues research at the intersection of human-computer interaction and social computing. He studies how to connect and coordinate large groups of people online to create systems that are powered by collective intelligence.

Carlos Guestrin is the Amazon Professor of Machine Learning in Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington. A world-recognized leader in the field of Machine Learning, Carlos was named one of the 2008 “Brilliant 10” by Popular Science Magazine and received the 2009 IJCAI Computers and Thought Award for his contributions to Artificial Intelligence.
Chief Scientist, Cloudera
Jeff Hammerbacher is a founder and the Chief Scientist of Cloudera, and an Assistant Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Jeff was an EIR at Accel Partners immediately prior to founding Cloudera. Before Accel, he conceived, built, and led the Data team at Facebook. Before joining Facebook, Jeff was a quantitative analyst on Wall Street. Jeff earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Harvard University.
Samuel Madden is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. His research interests include databases, distributed computing, and networking. Madden received his Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley in 2003 where he worked on the TinyDB system for data collection from sensor networks.

Tim O’Reilly is the founder and CEO of O’Reilly Media Inc. Tim’s blog, the O’Reilly Radar “watches the alpha geeks” to determine emerging technology trends, and serves as a platform for advocacy about issues of importance to the technical community.
