December ‘18 Wrangler Release – Folders

December 17, 2018

At Trifacta, we are always eager to release new features to our user community. That’s why we are excited to announce that we have transitioned to a monthly release schedule for Trifacta Wrangler. This strategic decision will increase the frequency of new features and the consistency of quality assurance. Trifacta Wrangler has updated to the December ‘18 release today, which comes with an important new feature: Folders.

Folders

Trifacta Folders introduce another level of organization into your Trifacta workflow. Folders will operate as a container for flows, and can hold any number of flows within.

Folders create an intuitive structure for organizing related flows. Folders in Trifacta work in the same way as organizing files on your desktop or emails in Outlook or GMail. Instead of organizing files or emails, you’re organizing flows. Any flow working on a similar set of datasets, or flows that are linked through a reference dataset, can be stored under a folder for quick navigation and easy organization. Folders will reduce the clutter on your flows page and will make searching for flows easy and painless.

Create a new folder from the Flows page:

Then move Flows to the Folder:

If needed, you can also create a new folder when you need to move or find a new home for your flow.

We are excited to bring new features to all of you on a monthly basis. To try out Folders and all of the other great features available in our free Wrangler edition sign up here.
