Adam Wilson


Adam has spent eighteen years in leadership roles focused on data integration and analytics. As GM of Informatica’s Information Lifecycle Management division, Adam grew revenues more than 400% in five years. Prior to that, as SVP of Product Management & Marketing for Informatica’s flagship data integration products, Adam was instrumental in helping the company expand beyond ETL and grow product revenues to more than $800M. Adam also co-founded and was COO of Zimba, a pioneer in mobile business intelligence.

Joe Hellerstein

Co-Founder & CSO

Joe is Trifacta’s Chief Strategy Officer, Co-founder and Jim Gray Chair of Computer Science at UC Berkeley. His career in research and industry has focused on data-centric systems and the way they drive computing. In 2010, Fortune Magazine included him in their list of 50 smartest people in technology, and MIT Technology Review magazine included his Bloom language for cloud computing on their TR10 list of the 10 technologies “most likely to change our world”.

Sean Kandel

Co-Founder & CTO

Sean is Trifacta’s Chief Technical Officer and Co-founder. He completed his Ph.D. at Stanford University, where his research focused on user interfaces for database systems. At Stanford, Sean led development of new tools for data transformation and discovery, such as Data Wrangler. He previously worked as a data analyst at Citadel Investment Group.

Jeffrey Heer

Co-Founder & CXO

Jeff is Trifacta’s Chief Experience Officer, Co-founder and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Washington, where he directs the Interactive Data Lab. Jeff’s passion is the design of novel user interfaces for exploring, managing and communicating data. The data visualization tools developed by his lab (D3.js, Protovis, Prefuse) are used by thousands of data enthusiasts around the world. In 2009, Jeff was named to MIT Technology Review’s list of “Top Innovators under 35”.

Sachin Chawla

VP, Engineering

Sachin brings deep domain experience, gained from 30 years in leadership roles at Skytree, Informatica, Oracle, Business Objects and Acta Technology, a company he co-founded. He has been responsible for growing software products both organically and via acquisition to meet the needs of enterprise-grade clients. Sachin has managed engineering and product management teams building enterprise data integration, data replication, data quality, event processing and messaging products.

Dan Niemann

VP, Worldwide Field Operations

Dan is Trifacta’s Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations leading the company’s sales and business development efforts. He joins Trifacta from Informatica where he co-founded Informatica Cloud and built the division’s business from zero customers to over 2,000 as VP of Sales and Business Development. Having held entrepreneurial leadership roles at both established companies and startups, Dan brings a wealth of experience to Trifacta in bringing new technologies to market and scaling sales organizations.

Joe Scheuermann

VP, Marketing

Joe is a seasoned marketing practitioner and leader with nearly two decades of experience in the technology industry from hyper-growth startups to global enterprises. Prior to joining Trifacta, Joe was vice president of marketing at Teradata where he was responsible for redesigning the company’s marketing strategy, modernizing Teradata’s go-to-market and building a demand generation engine to support the company’s expansion into the big data and analytics market. Previously, Joe has held various marketing leadership positions at Mercury Interactive, Business Objects, Hewlett-Packard and CA Technologies.

Wei Zheng

VP, Products

As VP of Products, Wei combines her passion for technology with experience in Enterprise Software to define and shape Trifacta’s product offerings. Having founded several startups of her own, Wei believes strongly in innovative technology that solves real world business problems. Most recently, she led product management efforts at Informatica, where she helped launch several new solutions including its Hadoop and data virtualization products.
