Trifacta is seeking a Financial Controller who will take on a key leadership role across the company, we are headquartered in San Francisco, CA and have 100% subsidiary companies in both the UK and Germany. This position will be responsible for running the day to day matters of the Finance dept., which includes managing two employees and the relationships with the three subcontract service providers who handle the bookkeeping in US, UK & Germany. In addition they will be responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting as well as developing and implementing new finance and accounting processes and procedures.
As our Controller, you will be a key leader for the financial operations of our rapidly growing company. You must be a hands-on, roll up your sleeves type of manager and need a ‘get the job done’ attitude, as we are growing quickly, ideally you are familiar with the changes and pressures that result and have experience in building teams. We are looking for someone who works well under tight financial reporting deadlines thanks to their excellent time management skills, process efficiencies, and ability to develop strong relationships across the company.
As we are a SAAS business, relevant experience is a plus.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Act as a strategic resource to senior management across the business, delivering meaningful insight and financial decision support.
Oversee the financial systems and infrastructure to scale with business growth and drive controls, efficiency and accuracy of all financial reporting processes.
Manage the accounting department and oversee all global accounting operations
Develop and implement new finance and accounting processes and controls as needed
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Oversee the Company's banking relationships, including cash management and investing activities.
Release of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, reporting and analysis
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
CPA is a requirement
Master’s or bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
10+ years of senior accounting experience in a management position
2+ years of proven work experience as a Financial Controller in a software company
Experience developing and implementing accounting operation systems, policies and procedures
Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
People management experience leading and supervising an accounting team
Preferred if you have experience in any of the following:
Fast growth companies from ARR of $20m upwards is highly desired.
Knowledge of SAAS businesses would be an advantage.
